Age brings with it wisdom I now realize
that I'm looking back,

Alex pettie was born weighing a huge 11lbs 14oz on the (13/09/1937 he was the middle child of 5 he
had 2 sisters and 2 brothers. My dad died on the 26 of oct 1990 age just 53 years young my dad was
in the army the kings own scottish borders (k o s b ) then leaving the army he went to work as a
steel fixer when his time was up doing that job he went onto work in the community helping others
where we lived we lived at wester hailes then had to move to redhall with me and my 2 sisters due to
my dads health gettin worse my dad left behind a wife (margaret ) who loved him dearly my dad had 2
step daughter and 2 step sons from my mums first marriage then they went on to have 3 girls joanne /
lorraine / and alexis we miss him so much xx love u dad xx .my dad died in hospital of a massive
heart attack may you rest in peace dad till we meet again xxxx

hi dad well its nearly fday again another 1 with out just seems to get harder. joannes girl hayley just sat her exams thats her in 5 years at high school nadia and hanna are in second year now u should see them all in there school uniform well smart they are u would be so proud of them or tellin them off for not wearin there ties prop lol hayley will be 16 on the 19 june. nadia and hanna have a dance show on sat plz come watch over them love u dad miss u millionsxxxx

hi dad well what a weekend we had it was nadias 13th birthday so we had a big party for her i so wisheed u where with us it was gd she had a pink hummer come to pick her and 15 friends up at the house then took her around edin upto the castle then to her party she had a ball and she looked lovely in her pink dress u would have been proud of all ur grand kids that where at the party miss u loads xxxx love u millions lorraine xxxx

hi dad its lorraine again just wanted to let u know nadia is doing her first horse comp on fri night i know u will be watchin over her im sure she will make u so proud of her just only wish u where here watchin it with us all she goes horse ridin every sunday with joannes wee boy alexander they both take after u with the love of horses thats all they talk about . i showed nadia a pic of what the house was like with all ur horses she couldnt beleive it love u dad xxxxxx
my Dad my hero
everyone says that it gets easier as time goes by, i dont agree with that. I only knew you for fourteen years, I envy my sisters because they had longer with you. One thing i do remember is you telling us to follow the three Fs, well Dad ive done my best to carry on with that theory. I dont have any children, but if i do, you can restasured that they would know what a wonderful Grandfather they had. I may not look like you but Mum says i am like you, with regards to my fags and booze. You will always be with me Dad, because you are in my heart and thoughts everyday. i will continue to look after Mum for you. Love and miss you loads. xxxxx
To all the Petties. What a great way to pay tribute to your dad. I love the photos. Its so sad to hear of anyones loss but time is a great healer and you'll always remember your lovely dad. I remember him vaguely when I was wee, probably he drank in the Hailes with my Grandad who is sadly now gone.xxxx

hi dad i am missing you so much.I have a lot to tell you like you have 4 grand kids and you were right about me having a baby before you died.no words can say how much i miss u and how hard it get with u not being hear to talk to people say it gets easy but thats not true cos it gets harder every day no hearing u said when my friends are in the kettle is there and it tea and two sugars and the lafs we had .miss u loads dad love from joanne xxxxxxx
